The role
We are seeking an Applications Specialist to join our Parts & Service division in Australia. As the Applications Specialist you will be responsible for establishing, developing, and implementing service applications to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of current and new business needs, driving continues improvement activities. You will also be responsible for developing and improving global Service Operations processes through digitalization.
The preferred candidate for the position is Perth, WA or Brisbane, QLD. This role is a full-time requirement, however Sandvik recognises the desire for flexible working options.
Areas of responsibility
Participate in the development and implementation of applications for Service Operations.
Participate in system evaluation and development to ensure they meet operational requirements.
Document application processes, changes, and improvements.
Perform gap analysis against the systems application, provide recommend and drive improvements projects.
Identify new systems or technology that can add value in the way of working for Service Operations based on business requirements.
Improve the efficiency of operations through digitalization of business processes.
Create application training packages as part of system application projects to ensure success with the system users.
Test relevant systems to ensure defined business processes will be handled correctly (both systems and integration).
Your profile
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in business systems applications in an industrial or operational environment. You will have experience in the application of technology (IBM Maximo) to business processes and preferably customer facing systems implementation experience.
Strong communication skills, analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills are crucial. You have a can-do attitude and well-developed management and organisational skills. You will be part of a great team and we will welcome you as a team-player.
A willingness for global travel is required when needed.
