Federal Government Opportunity in Coffs Harbour $43 per hour + super12 month labour hire contract with the possibility of extensionOur Client is a Federal Government body that is responsible ensuring the safety of maritime vessel operations, combating marine pollution, and search and rescue nationally. The Application Support Officer provides procedural, clerical and administrative support for the local office and is responsible for ensuring that applications and certifications are compliant with relevant regulatory frameworks. Responsibilities include:Enter data into the Certification and Pilotage System (CPS) and Customer Relations Management (CRM) system applicationsConduct initial and qualifying sea service assessmentsMaintain records in accordance with policyAssist with immigration assessmentsProcess applications and complete verifications of certificates of competencyAuthorise near coastal certificates of competency and renewals, as directedMaintain an understanding and knowledge of relevant procedures and regulationsProvide assistance and advice to clients and stakeholders who are seeking a certificatePropose, plan and execute ideas for continuous improvement and change managementWhen required assist the staff in other regional offices, Canberra and Coffs HarbourParticipate and assist in meetings by attendance, act as chair, record and archiveThis is a high volume administrative role that would suite someone who:Works well in a team environmentFlexible with learningFamiliarity with corporate systems Strong understanding of the need for file management protocolsAbility to use Microsoft suite of office applicationsStrong attention to details Ability to understand and analyse legislation and regulationsAbility to follow processes and proceduresTo Apply: In order to be considered applicants are required to hold an Australian Citizenship and if successful will be required undergo a Federal Government Security Process.
