In this role, you will provide operational Application Support to all business applications with-in the organisation. This may include the following type of work: break fix, project, and development, while you will be responsible for the following:
- Provide responsive escalated technical support in the investigation and resolution of complex Incidents, Problems, and Requests.
- Develop, undertake, and continuously refine routine, proactive system checks, and maintenance activities performed on business applications.
- Undertake administration and maintenance of applications and databases, including access controls, workflows, performance, installation, and configuration of application components to ensure availability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders involved in the planning, analysis, development, testing, release, use, and quality review of application software enhancements, releases, or changes ensuring alignment with ITIL or software development frameworks.
- Provide advanced application advice and support services to, work colleagues and service partners, pro-actively contributing to knowledge sharing, mentoring and skills transfer.
- Develop training content and manage training activities needed to operate, support, or use an application successfully.
- Liaise and work with external application vendors/service suppliers to resolve warranty issues, product problems, application outages, escalations, and projects.
Required Skills & Experiences:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in enterprise and cloud application design, testing, implementation, support, and administration (SQL Server, Azure Applications, Power Applications/Power Platform, Oracle an advantage)
- Demonstrated knowledge in application development platforms and frameworks (.Net and Microsoft Devops an advantage)
- Demonstrated experience in leading an applications management function including change control, release management, continuous improvement, and project management.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality reports, system, procedural, and user documentation.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and develop effective working relationships with internal and external clients, team members, vendors, and end users.
- Demonstrated commitment to business outcomes and service delivery in a customer-focused ICT environment.
