Defence Finance Group (DFG) leads financial operations, management and performance across Defence, delivering financial, strategies, management and business partnering services. DFG is undertaking an APS 6 recruitment round for various vacancies within the Enabling Groups Branch specifically supporting the following areas:
- Associate Secretary Executive Support (ASG) Group is responsible for Defence enterprise planning, performance and risk management functions and the running of the business of Defence. This includes the integration of all enabling services – ICT, finance, estate, human resources, legal, audit, ministerial and parliamentary services, media and communications, and data;
- Defence Finance Group (DFG) is responsible to advise and partner with the Groups and Services within Defence on budget and financial matters and to protect and support the organisation through the application of appropriate and reasonable financial assurance; and
- Defence People Group (DPG) - People Strategy Organisation (PSO), is responsible for delivering human resource outcomes across the Defence employment cycle from strategy and policy development, through to implementation and service delivery. Military Personnel Organisation (MPO) established out of the Defence Strategic Review (DSR) bringing changes to capabilities. MPO is taking carriage of the ADF personnel from recruitment, throughout their career and on transition from Defence, including the support, education and health components needed to maintain wellbeing and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth.
About our Team
The Branch is within the Financial Performance and Management (FPM) Division which is responsible for delivering financial advice and performance reporting to Groups and Services, Ministers and other government departments, across all Defence programs and activities including workforce, capital, and sustainment and operating budgets.
As an APS 6 Finance Advisor in the FP&M Division you will combine your passion for finance with your passion for stakeholder management. You will have an ability analyse and interpret financial information such as budgets and management reporting and enjoy working with others to understand complex issues, analysing results and an ability to communicate your findings.
