Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role in the Procurement space? The NDIA is seeking to fill an APS6 Procurement position in the Chief Corporate and Commercial Officer Division.
In this role you will use your communication and project skills to make decisions that focus on the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and NDIA Procurement Policy to ensure value for money outcomes.
Procurement Business Partners work with business areas to source good and services, engage labour hire resources, and undertake grant rounds in accordance with the relevant NDIA and APS policies and legislation.

The APS6 Procurement position provides an exciting opportunity to offer guidance and support to NDIA business areas for procurement related activities. In this team leadership role, you will be responsible for resolving issues and risks across a range of activities.
Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working collaboratively with NDIA business areas as a procurement business partner to establish appropriate procurement methodologies.
- Preparing a range of procurement documentation, evaluating tenders and negotiating contracts.
- Providing specialist procurement advice and ensuring NDIA procurement activities are conducted in line with legislative requirements, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the NDIA Procurement Policy to deliver value for money outcomes.
- Managing and undertaking procurement reporting and verification activities, and processing procurements through the financial management and compliance system
- Undertaking grant rounds in accordance with related policies.
- Leading, sourcing, and engaging labour hire resources for the Agency.

While this role is ideally performed from ACT – Deakin, QLD – Brisbane, VIC – Geelong, and remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
