The Library is seeking to fill a non-ongoing Program Manager, Acquisitions (APS 6) role in the Collect and Acquire Section of the Collection Branch. This role is available immediately until the end of July 2024.
We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced and motivated library acquisitions professional to manage the logistics of acquiring collection material. You will provide advice on a range of complex issues and lead a small team in the acquisition of new archival collections.
The role encompasses working closely with the Curatorial and Collection Research Section and act on collection decisions for pictures and manuscripts materials. The work of the team is dynamic, and often requires action at short notice, so a capacity to focus and provide direction and leadership under pressure is important.
We are seeking someone who will deliver high quality outcomes though developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
To see you succeed in this role it is desirable that you have:
- Qualifications or equivalent experience in Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences or related fields.
- Experience of collection management in the heritage sector.
