Our client is a federal government department based centrally on the Gold Coast. Due to the high volume of work, an experienced Accounts Payable / Receivable officer is required to join their team on a 12-month contract.
Your new role
As the Accounts Payable / Receivable Officer you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and managing group inboxes
- Performing financial administration tasks including cash handling, receipting, payment of invoices, processing etc.
- Financial reporting
- Providing high level system accounting support using SAP
- Identifying opportunities for business and process improvement
- Data entry
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable / Receivable Officer role (minimum 2 years)
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- System experience with Budget Management System and SAP is desirable
- The ability to work full time Monday - Friday
- A positive attitude and the ability to work in a team and autonomously
