Communications And Event Officer

Elliott Gray are excited to bring you another opportunity in the not-for-profit space with Palliative Care Australia. Palliative Care Australia (PCA) is the national peak body for palliative care. Working closely with their Member Organisations, they represent all those who work towards providing access to high quality palliative care for all Australians who need it.

They are now seeking someone to join their Communications team as their Communications and Events Officer. If you are passionate about communications, event management and making a difference in the lives of individuals families facing serious illness, then read on!

In this position, you will be focused on administrative and communications support for all relevant initiatives and projects connected to the work of the team. This includes their fabulous events coming up like National Palliative Care Week and Parliamentary Friends of Palliative Care.

This means you will be contributing to the creation and delivery of relevant communication and marketing whilst also supporting the creation of material for publications, reports, and other communication across a range of mediums including electronic, multimedia, video, and print. Ideally, you are someone that has experience with social media and digital marketing in terms of content creation and contributing to delivery of engaging content (I am TikTok famous so reach out to me if you have any questions).

Time management and organisational skills will be paramount in this position to ensure that material is presented in a timely manner across a variety of projects. This is a collaborative team that really enjoys working together, so balancing out your deadlines and helping where you can will be vital to the teams success.  

Okay, so what do you need to bring? Well, firstly, a good sense of humour! As I just said, this is a collaborative team full of open minded and empathetic people who want to genuinely help others. We want someone who is going to want to contribute to this environment and gets fulfilment out of assisting others.
Other than that, we are open to all applications.

Yes of course, experience in software such as Canva, WordPress, Hootsuite, MailChimp are desirable but if you are someone that is passionate about Communications and Events, we want to hear from you regardless.
