RSPCA Victoria is seeking a seasoned Health, Safety & Wellbeing professional to join our team to implement strategies that enhance our safety culture and keep our people safe.

In this key role, you will:
- Lead the management and enhancement of our WHS&W Management System, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Champion a proactive approach to safety and wellbeing by identifying and implementing strategies to improve safe work practices and build a positive culture across our Animal Care and Op Shop sites.
- Provide expert guidance and support to managers, employees and volunteers on hazard identification, incident management and investigation, and return-to-work programs.
- Analyse safety and wellbeing data to identify trends and inform future strategies.
- Manage relationships with our workers compensation insurer and WorkSafe Victoria to drive positive return to work outcomes for injured employees.
What we are looking for from you
- Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing strategies that make a measureable difference to the safety and wellbeing of people within an organization and contributes to a positive safety culture.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety related legislation, regulations and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in analysing and reporting on safety and wellbeing related data (lead and lag indicators) to identify trends and inform strategies and corrective actions for an organisation
Highly regarded
- Certificate IV in Health and Safety and a Return-to-Work Certification
Recruitment Requirements
Position requires regular travel throughout metropolitan, therefore requiring a valid driver’s license.
