Our client is seeking to engage an APS5 Security Advisor on a contract for 12 months, with 2 X 12 months extension option.
The following services are to be supplied:
- Department has a requirement for a Personnel Security Vetting Officer (LES) to support its security clearance processes, with duties including:
- Undertaking and coordinating security clearance vetting for locally engaged staff at Australia’s overseas missions, in co-operation with the department’s panel of outsourced vetting service providers;
- Liaising internally and externally to commence, monitor, progress, undertake quality assurance and finalise security clearance processes;
- Providing policy and related procedural advice regarding security clearance requirements as outlined in the Australian Government’s Protective Security Policy Framework and the Department’s Security Framework; and
- Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to support Department’s security clearance processes and investigations, including developing reporting and assurance frameworks, working closely with the Department network to transition processes and developing innovative approaches to managing caseloads in online systems.
Essential -
- Cert IV Government (Personnel Security); or
- Cert IV Government Investigations
- 5 years working in a fast-paced office environment;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills; and
- Ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision.
Please note: This is a security designated position and specified Personnel will be required to hold a current Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance prior to commencement.
