This directorate supports and enables by delivering high quality procurement, contracting and commercial services and support for core activities and enterprise requirements. Dedicated contracting support, through the provision of Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) on matters such as IP, licencing, contract management.

The Role
Administrative support is required to across four Branches to plan, manage and perform business support, clerical, administrative and managerial activities including human resources, finance, travel, program implementation, policy development, records management, procurement, capability management, quality assurance, governance, contract management and project support functions.
- Coordinating administrative and business support activities for a Branch, Directorate or team and other work areas, identify risks and determine appropriate course of action to meet stakeholder needs
- Performing simple and complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support activities and tasks that support the delivery of outcomes
- Identifying and interpreting relevant legislation, policies, strategies, business and team requirements and apply these to the work area
- Providing advice and services for a range of simple and complex corporate, administration and business support activities
- Engaging and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve business outcomes
- Developing and implementing procedural, operational, corporate, administrative and business support documentation consistent with business requirements
To be the ideal candidate for this role, you should possess a combination of qualifications and experience in business administration and management, particularly within Government or Defence sectors.
Key Skills:
- Qualifications and/or relevant experience in business administration and management within Government or Defence
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise workload independently and deliver agreed outcomes with minimal supervision
- Adaptability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Defence corporate business systems: MyProcurement, MyFI, and Objective
- Microsoft suite of products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Project Professional 2016, and Power BI
- $50/hr - $65/hr + 11% superannuation (includes casual loading)
- Contract until December 2024 + extensions
- NV1 clearance required
