APS6 Senior Compliance Officer
We are seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Officer to join our Federal Government Agency based in the Adelaide CBD. This opportunity is at APS6 equivalent, paying $64.00 per hour plus 11.0% superannuation.
This role is performed in the Compliance and Enforcement Branch, which ensures those selling or supplying energy are following obligations as set out in the National Energy Customer Framework. The Compliance and Enforcement priorities help guide their enforcement work and proactive compliance efforts.
Responsibilities
The APS6 Senior Compliance position will be supporting the Authorisations Team as follows:
- Undertake retailer authorisation assessments
- Draft written material for a wide audience including correspondence, minutes, briefings, and Committee and Board papers
- Keep accurate, thorough and functional records, including capturing documents in information management systems and updating systems and reports
- Work flexibly as part of teams, across multiple projects in a geographically dispersed work environment
- Help manage the Authorisations mailbox and respond to enquiries in a timely manner
- Undertake other Authorisations Team business as usual tasks as required
- Meet the selection criteria of the APS6 Integrated Leadership Profile
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in compliance, investigations, or enforcement work, preferably within a government regulatory environment.
- Knowledge or understanding, or the ability to quickly acquire an understanding, of the Australian energy sector and the role
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and oral, with a range of people
- Tertiary qualifications in law, economics / commerce, public policy, or related fields.
