As part of this dedicated ICT Team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless technology support for their staff.
Your new role
As an ICT Service Desk Support Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for the Agency staff seeking technical assistance. You'll provide 1st and 2nd level support, ensuring smooth operations of their network, devices, and systems. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining their audio-visual infrastructure, portable devices, and backup solutions.
- Logging and Prioritising Support Tickets: Utilise the Agency's Service Management software to log and prioritise support tickets promptly.
- Service Desk Support: Investigate and resolve 1st and 2nd level technical issues related to the Agency ICT systems.
- Audio-Visual Support: Provide assistance for the audio-visual technology systems.
- Setup Activities: Support setup activities for the Agency ICT assets.
- System Maintenance: Assist in the operation and maintenance of the Agencys key ICT systems.
- Training and Documentation: Deliver ICT training and documentation to staff as required (both formal and informal sessions).
- External Liaison: Collaborate with external ICT contractors and suppliers as directed.
- Team Collaboration: Assist with various ICT team activities to meet team objectives.
All applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold or have the ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance.
What you'll need to succeed
- A good understanding of service delivery through an IT Help Desk.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Windows Servers (2016 and above), File and Print services, and Exchange 2016 (soon to be migrated to Exchange Online).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite, OneDrive, Adobe Acrobat DC, and Cisco Jabber.
- Experience managing desktops and laptops using Airwatch Workspace One Unified Endpoint Management.
Qualifications:
- A Certificate IV in Information Technology (ICT40120) or equivalent experience.
- Additional studies in information technology or related fields are advantageous.
