Multiple APS6 Financial Accountant roles are available, all on 6-month labour hire contracts. Given the number of vacancies, there is significant opportunity to secure permanency within the APS. The Role
Key responsibilities include:
Manage journal preparation, reconciliations, and work papers with precision
Play a key role in preparing the Annual Financial Statements, including processing end-of-year journals and crafting notes for audited financial statements
Actively contribute to the Department’s transition towards GovERP
Cultivate and maintain strong, professional relationships with our valued clients
The Ideal PersonAs the ideal person, you are likely an experienced accountant with a strong technical financial accounting background, ideally in federal government. You will have:
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and well developed communication skills
Experience using financial systems e.g. SAP, TechOne etc
Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in commerce, accounting, finance, business, or a related field highly regarded
Membership of a professional accounting association (CPA/CAANZ), or progress towards, is highly desirable. Applicants MUST be Australian Citizens to be considered for this opportunity as a Baseline security clearance is required for the positions. Salary / Rate
This is a Labour hire contract
Hourly rate is between $60 and $70 per hour + super
The rate is negotiable based on experience
