Hudson is assisting a Federal Government Agency department in sourcing a Policy Program Officer with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritise and work flexibly across a range of policy, program and stakeholder engagement tasks.

The key responsibilities of this role may include:
- Oversee and support the team in day-to-day activities within the Practice Support Section.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle issues related to general practice accreditation, collaborating with entities such as the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, Primary Health Networks and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
- Prepare ministerial correspondence, briefs, media responses and other materials related to accreditation activities for executive review.
- Manage agreements between the Department and key stakeholders including Memorandums of Understanding, contract arrangements and grant opportunities.
- Work with partner areas across the department to ensure coherent program operations, aligning with the Government's primary care reform priorities.

- Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication, adaptable to various audiences with a high level of attention to detail.
- Sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.

- Ability to take responsibility for individual work and contribute to team outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to develop and maintain productive working relationships and collaborate with stakeholders.
The successful candidate will possess transferrable skills to work as a Program Officer and have a strong background in policy and program management ideally within the health sector. You will demonstrate the ability to handle complex issues, communicate effectively and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
