Calling all Procurement Officers!***Baseline clearance required – ACT or VIC locations*** Join a dynamic team at the forefront of significant whole-of-government cross-border trade reforms. As an APS6 Procurement Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the transition from discovery to reform delivery. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to regulatory, process, and ICT systems reforms that bring value to both business and the government. Duties:
Develop and negotiate contracts with suppliers for the Simplified Trade System Taskforce.
Lead compliance and auditing of procurement and financial practices, demonstrating sensitivity and initiative.
Provide expert advice on legislative frameworks and Commonwealth Procurement Rules to ensure compliance.
Actively participate in stakeholder meetings, contributing to continuous improvement in business practices.
Criteria:
Proficient in digital tools, showcasing strong digital literacy for problem-solving and collaboration.
Ability to thrive in a high-performing team within a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
Demonstrated initiative, resilience, and the ability to manage changing priorities in a positive work environment.
Experience with legislative and governance frameworks and best practices related to Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
