About the Role
Information Technology Services (ITS) plays a crucial role in providing essential IT solutions to support the University's excellence in research, teaching, and public policy. The ITS Contractsand Procurement team is pivotal in ensuring the smooth acquisition of IT resources and services. We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the team as the ITS Contract & Procurement Officer. This role involves actively participating in various IT procurements, resolving challenging procurement issues, and contributing to the strategic development of procurement processes. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring that procurement activities align with the University's objectives and support the overall IT strategy.

The ITS Contractsand Procurement team is looking for someone with practical procurement experience, a strong ability to navigate and resolve complex and challenging procurement matters, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within a small, supportive team environment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the enhancement of IT services at ANU and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to driving excellence in information technology across the University.

Key Duties:

  • Preparing all procurement documents, both internal and for release to market.
  • Providing guidance to evaluation teams throughout the procurement process.
  • Keeping IT procurement templates up to date.
  • Liaising with suppliers throughout the procurement life cycle.
  • Drafting contracts and negotiating the terms and conditions with successful suppliers.
  • Assisting with ongoing contractual and financial management.
