The Opportunity
A key client of ours has come to us to seek the expertise of a Finance and Procurement Officer to join their Taskforce. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Assistant Director tot deliver a range of financial and procurement activities. The role is responsible for providing financial and procurement advice, undertaking financial management activities, assisting teams with their procurement and contracting needs, and building productive working relationships across the Taskforce and Department.
All candidates applying for this position must be an Australian Citizen and have a current Baseline Security Clearance
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertake financial administration and analysis including financial and procurement reporting, forecasting and accruals
- Assist with internal budget development and maintenance, including mid-year review
- Assist the Taskforce in procurement and contracting requirements, undertaking audits to ensure compliance and improve data integrity
- Demonstrated ability undertake work with a moderate level of complexity and sensitivity under limited guidance
- Ability to apply well developed analytical and problem-solving skills to achieve outcomes
- Sound knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks and best practice with regards to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
