About the role
The Procurement Support Officer works closely with the Indigo Procurement Lead to assist in the successful delivery of procurements being undertaken For the agency.
The Procurement Support Officer reports to the Director ICT VMO but receives day-to-day instruction from the Procurement Lead.
The duties of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Draft procedural, governance and procurement documentation (with minimal direction);
- Support tender evaluation processes and manage procurement schedules;
- Perform contract management duties including administrative tasks such as invoicing and scheduling vendor management meetings;
- Monitor compliance and produce procurement reports as required;
- Perform quality assurance on procedural, governance and procurement documentation;
- Perform administrative activities over the procurement lifecycle;
- Coordinate and administer procurement related correspondence;
- Develop and administer procurement and contract management risk assessments;
- Provide advice and guidance on procurement and contract management to internal stakeholders;
- Communicate using professional judgement, evaluating risks in the context of a complex and changing environment; and
- Additional duties as directed by the Director or Procurement Lead.
Skills and Experience
Essential criteria
- Comprehensive experience with and understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and all relevant additional procurement related policies and legislation;
- Demonstrated experience conducting complex end-to-end procurement activities including contract management;
- Demonstrated experience drafting complex procurement documentation including but not limited to:
- RFT documentation, draft contracts, statements of requirement and complex response schedules;
- Knowledge and experience in successfully managing risk, including the development of comprehensive risk assessments;
- Demonstrated experience in delivering value for money outcomes with time restraints and competing priorities;
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and navigate complex stakeholder relationships including negotiations; and
- Demonstrated personal drive and integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and budget parameters.
Desirable:
- Relevant qualifications and / or industry certification. For example, Diploma of Government and/or Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) or equivalent.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- To be eligible for employment in this role, you must be able to provide evidence of Australian citizen, be able to obtain a satisfactory National Police Check, and hold, or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
