APS6 Technical Advisory Officer

The OpportunityOn behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for an APS6 Technical Advisory Officer. This is a 12-month assignment based in Richmond. The role will work a hybrid arrangement, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day and will be paying $60.26 per hour plus super.The team plays a critical role in supporting and building the capability of the complex decision making within this Agency.Responsibilities include;

• Providing Health and Allied Health clinical and technical expertise using a coaching and mentoring approach, advising on the most appropriate supports to achieve participant outcomes.
• Managing complex and sensitive conversations and situations associated with approval of funding.
• Liaising and working with stakeholders, delegates, partners and providers to ensure consistent decision making and outcome achievement.
• Supporting the staff conducting internal and Administrative Appeals Tribunal review of decisions.
• Contributing to provision of Health and Allied Health clinical and technical expertise to inform Agency guidance and policy.
• Providing high quality written and telephone advice and record keeping.

To be considered for this role you will demonstrate;

• Relevant academic qualifications and accreditation and membership with Professional Peak Bodies.
• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or membership under Allied Health Professional Australia (AHPA).
• Hold a degree or qualification in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Registered Nursing, or Social Work. Specialisation in Behavioural Support Practice is a plus.
• Extensive clinical experience in specific allied health fields, showcasing your ability to excel in this role.
• Stakeholder management skills and strong communication.
• Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or chronic health conditions is highly desirable.
