Gibson McIlvain is more than just materials and with our comprehensive architectural millwork facility, we offer custom millwork services from interior trim and cabinetry to exterior siding, pergolas, and furniture.JOB SUMMARY:The Architectural Design Specialist connects and builds relationships with Architects, Builders, and resellers to promote J. Gibson McIlvain Company and ICD’s product lines. This person will become an expert on the manufacturing process, installation, and features and benefits of the various products to advise clients and prospects on the best usage of the products. The Architectural Design Specialist will collaborate with the Sales department and customers to help get our products specified and ultimately ordered for specific jobs or inventories. This person will also assist our Marketing and Sales department in developing strategies for product line sales and report on trends within the target marketplace.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Builds relationships through in person meetings, virtual meetings, and webinars with specifiers (Architects, Designers, Builders, etc.) to get our products specifiedEducates the marketplace on the features and benefits of our product linesWorks together with the Sales team to support them in closing sales, as necessaryWorks to develop up to date presentations regarding the company and our products that will promote the marketing and sales efforts of the roleSupports development of new products and product improvementsAssists in the field by conducting and analyzing market research; works with the marketing team to develop branding strategies based upon informationFormulates and recommends campaign tactics and plans for product launch and ongoing marketingCreates templates for presentation; revises templates as neededResearches and recommends tradeshow and/or seminar options based on internal goals and strategiesPerforms other related duties as assigned by managementApproximately 25% travelSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent in related fieldDemonstrated ability to plan and organize projectsExperience with web analytics and email marketing applications.Experience with creative asset applications (Adobe CC, etc.)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsIdeal candidate, even though this is a remote opportunity, should reside in NY, NJ, PA, CT, VA, MD, or DCCOMPANY BENEFITS:Eligibility effective on the first day of the month following 60 days of continuous employmentHealth and Dental Insurance401(k) Retirement Plan, company matches up to 10% of employee contributionsCompany paid Life Insurance Policy; value is twice the employee’s salary with a cap at $150,000.00Company paid Short- and Long-Term Disability Policy; pays 60% of your salary while you are unable to workPaid Holidays, Vacation and Sick timeFor more information about J.
