At least 2 years of experience in safety roles especially in architectural design roles.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications based on sketches, notes, and other input from architects or engineers.
- Utilise CAD software and other drafting tools to create accurate and precise architectural drawings.
- Collaborate with architects and other professionals to review and refine architectural designs and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Design concepts, including space planning, material selection, and aesthetic considerations.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary data and measurements for drafting purposes.
- Create and update architectural drawings and documentation throughout the design and construction phases of projects.
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve any design or technical issues that may arise during construction.
- Maintain and organise project files, including drawings, specifications, and other relevant
documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, software updates, and advancements in architectural drafting techniques.
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced draftspersons, as needed.
