About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, motivated, and passionate Sales Account Manager to join our Queensland team to assume an important new business and relationship building role. Your focus is in our Architectural segment as well as working with some builders and developers, sourcing new clients to specify Smartstone as well as managing current specifications.
The role requires you to grow specifications through architects/designers and builders/developers. To be successful in the position, we are after someone who has had experience in the same or similar fast paced environment. You must be a driven and results oriented sales professional, enjoy presenting and finding new sales opportunities. This role is for someone who enjoys the process of securing sales whilst working autonomously. If this reads true, then this is the perfect role for you!

In this role you will:
- Report to the QLD State Manager
- Be responsible for the continued growth in our multi-residential, commercial, aged care and architectural space
- Be confident in presenting to commercial builders, developers, architects, and designers throughout South East Qld territory
- Work with, commercial builders, architects and designers
- Be responsible for maintaining existing clients & establishing new business opportunities within the builder’s space and through stonemasons who are the fabricators of material
- Develop and implement sales strategies to improve sales growth
- Report accurately and timely on business activity for your territory
- Maintain your CRM with client detail and follow up
- Meet & exceed KPI requirements
- Promote customer satisfaction and loyalty by identifying & satisfying customers' needs.
To be successful in this role, ideally you will:
- Have proven sales ability, with a strong focus on driving new business through existing client base and proactive initiatives, whilst also obtaining new clients
- Have the ability to effectively promote and maximise the specification of Smartstone surfaces through kitchen designers & joiners
- Effectively manage & maintain Smartstone merchandise within your client segment
- Demonstrate success in having achieved sales targets, develop & effectively implement a sales business plan
- Work well autonomously with good time management skills
- Strategic thinker with good organisational skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, positive mindset & adaptable.
Previous experience within the building industry and in particular, working within a similar space would be a plus!
