The role
We are looking for a strong and energetic salesperson to step into a permanent full-time Area Business Manager role focusing on our off premise, banner groups, independent retail and some on premise trade.
This role would ideally suit someone who thrives on the challenge of gaining new business and smashing targets and goals, or someone with a strong network within the industry. We will consider both someone with a strong sales background or a superstar from the trade ready to make the move into sales.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, driven and have a passion for wine and sales. The role will report into our WA Group State Manager and is based out of our West Leederville office.
Responsibilities
- Account management & growth
- Resolving customer queries via telephone, email or face to face
- Reporting on sales, trade activity
- Identify & pursue new business opportunities
- Develop yearly and monthly strategies for meeting and exceeding budgets
- Provide action plans and target lists for key brands in the portfolio
- Aligning promotional activities to improve sales results
What we're looking for
- A natural ability to drive positive sales outcomes whilst building and maintaining meaningful relationships with new and existing customers
- Passion for wine coupled with intermediate wine knowledge (ideally WSET level 2 or above qualified)
- Thorough understanding of the "movers and shakers" within the hospitality world
- Proven connections within the industry
- A self-starter who is looking to grow and develop in the wine industry
- The ability to work autonomously and take calculated risks, while also building and fostering long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with winery partners, suppliers, customers and teammates
- Personable, charismatic, resilient and driven personality
- Solid communication skills and problem-solving ability
- Current valid car license and own vehicle
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification
