About the role
We have a great opportunity for you to join ELGAS as an Area ManagerBased out of Canberra and servicing Cooma & surrounding areas. You will have strong financial management skills, supported by a business acumen that demonstrates positive attitudes toward people management, sales growth & retention and flexible thinking to ensure operational productivity targets are achieved.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and supervise the team, including direction of administration workflow, Depot Operations and Transport
  • Manage the centre’s P&L performance within budget 
  • Achieve planned sales and customer growth targets 
  • Effective Margin management 
  • Improve efficiency and capability through existing and new processes
  • Recruit, lead, retain & develop a motivated team consistent with Elgas philosophies and Elgas goals

  • Demonstrated experience in people management
  • Managing P&L, sales and people across a number of sites 
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven performance to cost budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective Time Management Skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel
