We are currently seeking applications for the role of Area Sales Manager within our Independent Retail Sales Division. This is an exciting time to join our established team. We are looking for an energetic and driven person who has sales experience looking to advance their career.
About the Role
Reporting to the State Field Manager, you will provide frontline service to Independent stores in your area, maximising sales opportunities whilst ensuring the in-store trade standards, promotional activity and customer relationships are at the high standard expected of DON.
The designated territory covers North/East Adelaide Suburbs and includes regional areas - Yorke Peninsula, Eyre Peninsula, Mid-North + Riverland. Coverage of a designated territory in Western Australia will also be required.
Responsibilities:
- Management and implementation of a Territory Plan and Call Cycle, where you will effectively use your negotiation and relationship management skills to help achieve the projected sales plan and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Executing and maintaining in-store Trade Standards across each Point of Purchase
- Report all call cycle activation into Sales at Work on an iPad device
- Share market intelligence to key stakeholders in a responsible and timely manner
- Build trusting and productive relationships with customers and external stakeholders
- Be proactive in action on trade issues, especially product performance.
- FMCG sales experience in a similar role (preferably with Independent Grocers)
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously
- A passion for selling and the desire to achieve
- Strong capability in using handheld communications technology, as well as having a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Engaging and outgoing personality
- Ability to travel and able to manage long distance driving
