About the role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Area Supervisor is responsible for leading teams across sites:
- Will be responsible for planning and overseeing the smooth organization and operation of Spec Services site offices & amenities cleaning contracts within the construction industry
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and working to deadlines together as a team
- Optimise productivity through efficient allocation of team and resources on a daily and sometimes hourly basis. Ensure unobstructed pathways for the seamless progression of tasks.
- Drive business development within your department
- Serve as an expert on-site and respectfully inform the client of the approach and action plan
- Ensure safe work practices and hazard assessments & conduct toolbox talks
- Collaborate with Project Managers and other stakeholders as needed
- Conduct competency reviews and training assessments
- Monitor and manage uniform, consumables and equipment
- Allocate appropriate amounts of time for completing tasks, shifts and jobs while avoiding scheduling conflicts, downtime and delays on projects
- Promptly escalate issues and concerns to the Managing Director to prevent downtime and uphold safety standards
- Maintain high standard of professional communication, both verbal and written.
- Follow a 40-hour workweek, primarily scheduled from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a service-related industry
- High attention to detail
- Experience leading a diverse team across multiple sites
- Have a cleaning, customer services, hospitality, logistics, retail, housekeeping, or related background.
- Full working rights
- Organised, practical and operational
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) a White card, Asbestos Awareness card, and Silica card
- Evidence of the right to work in Australia.
- current Australian Drivers Licence
- It’s important to note that police checks are a mandatory requirement for all Spec Services employees. If you don't currently possess a valid police check, you will need to obtain one within the initial 14 days of your employment with Spec Services
