About the role
Endeavour College is seeking to appoint a permanent part-time Art & Drama Support Officer working 20 hours per week over 40 weeks (school term weeks).
The Art & Drama Support Officer is responsible for providing quality support to teachers and students, and assisting in the general functioning of the Visual Arts and Drama learning areas. In addition, the Art & Drama Support Officer will, under the direction of the Visual Arts Learning Leader and the Drama Learning Leader, work closely and collaboratively with classroom teachers, providing learning support to students in classroom, small groups, and one-to-one settings.
We envision a well rounded individual who is passionate about Art and Drama, preferably with experience working in a similar role supporting young people. They will have strong technical knowledge and/or experience enabling them to perform a wide range of duties within an Arts support role including working with various art mediums and dramatic techniques. Experience working independently and as part of a team, ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines, and be organised and efficient in their management of materials, facilities and records is essential.

The successful applicant will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Cert III Visual Arts / Theatre etc.) and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Hold or be willing to obtain a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and Mandatory Reporting Notification Training Certificate
- Experience working independently and pro-actively within an Arts support role (preferably working with young people within a secondary school environment)
- Technical knowledge and/or experience to perform a wide range of duties within an Arts support role including working with various art mediums and dramatic techniques
- Experience and ability to communicate professionally and clearly with a high level of courtesy while supporting staff and students with information relating to art and art mediums, and dramatic practices and techniques
- Experience and/or ability to use equipment or machinery to assist in building art props and sets
- Demonstrated experience in a position applying flexibility and time management skills
- Motivation and a passion to work with and support young people on their journey through secondary education.
- Ability and desire to actively support the values and ethos of a Christian school.
- A practicing Christian, with the ability to relate the Gospel message to their role within the College, and encourage a spirit of Christian care amongst staff and students (highly desirable)
