JPEU is seeking a highly motivated Business & ICT Support Officer to join our team. The position will be responsible for a wide range of business activities including administration, business support, improvement initiatives and ICT support. The position is based at Proof Experimental Establishment at Port Wakefield.In this role you will:
- Apply business acumen, ICT and administration skills often within varied timeframes;
- Apply skills, knowledge and experience to provide advice and services for a range of business and ICT activities;
- Analyse and interpret policies and legislation to provide advice or services;
- Draft documents and correspondence for distribution across varied platforms;
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships;
- Undertake analysis to make informed decisions and resolve complex issues;
- Provide support to users of software, information management and record systems;
- Conduct complex design, maintenance and education of unit-developed systems and;
- Be responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of unit Objective files.
The Business team supports JPEU with personnel and workforce management, strategic planning, improvement initiatives and ICT services. With a diverse team of professionals within procurement, quality assurance, human resources and workplace health and safety, the Business team provides critical support services to the sub-units within JPEU. P&EE Port Wakefield has a range of facilities for use by all employees, including the following:

- Gym (24/7 hrs)
- Trainer-led personal training on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8am-9am
- Rangers Tavern for social events
- Coffee van on base every Wednesday morning

- Transport assistance Monday to Friday, pick up from RAAF Base Edinburgh to P&EE Port Wakefield (reduced cost for APS employees)
- Employment at Port Wakefield includes a Special Defence Locality Assistance allowance, $309.85 respectively per fortnight.
