Role Purpose:
As an Asset Data Officer, you will be responsible for identifying, analysing and collating asset data to ensure quality information is available for the effective management of network systems. You will also be tasked with improving data quality and asset visibility to streamline processes and enhance system efficiency.
Key Objectives:
- Identify improvement opportunities through analysis and investigation.
- Ensure accurate asset information for autonomous asset valuing.
- Conduct bulk data analysis, including GIS, across the organization.
- Provide fit for purpose data/information/data visualisation to stakeholders.
- Contributing to Regulatory Information Notice reporting annually.
Key Relationships and Areas of Influence:
- Collaborate with Asset Management team, Subject Matter Experts, and Asset Managers for data requests.
- Work with Field Services Planning on unvalued works and work value concerns.
- Assist Project Teams with GIS information.
- Prepare annual RIN reporting and liaise with Finance.
Role Specific Competencies:
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Competent in data investigation and interrogation.
- General understanding of risk management principles.
- Specific knowledge of SA Power Networks distribution system assets and work practices.
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of operational information systems (e.g. OMS, SAP, GIS).
- Competent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced attention to detail and accuracy.
Essential Role Requirements:
- Minimum diploma qualification in GIS, Finance, IT, or related discipline.
- Equivalent skills and knowledge gained through experience will also be considered.
