About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an AssetManagement, Asset Manager to join our team.
Location: Sydney, CBD
Contract Type: Full time, ongoing Reporting to the Asset Management,Operations Manager, you will be a valuable member of the team responsible for ensuringMYT AUS’s solar farm assets are operated and maintained in a manner thatmaximizes their performance and financial returns.
As an Asset Management, Asset Manager yourkey responsibilities will include:
- O&M preparation, generationmonitoring as well as manage the energy and certificates sales through/to therelevant entities (AEMO, CER, Off takers, etc.) during the construction andlater operation stages of the Projects assigned.
- Supervise assigned assetlocations (occasional travels will be required as needed).
- Provide assistance to theDevelopment, Construction and the O&M teams for setting-up operationalsolutions, and provide necessary inputs for the Project Finance team for theFinancial Close of future projects.
- Analysis and reportingperformance for each operating asset (including operational performance,financial results, impact statistics and health, safety and environmental data).
- Assist with the development andmanagement of risk/Asset Management plans for assets.
- Liaise with the CommunityManager as required to ensure the continuity of the relations established withlocal communities throughout the assets’ operation period.
- Establish and maintain goodrelationships with Key Stakeholders such as the Market Operator, the NetworkService Providers, Landlords, local communities, council representatives, etc.
- Support the creation andupdating of budget forecasts for the operations of the Projects managed andupdate them as required based upon actuals provided by Mytilineos’ financedepartment.
- Work with EPC contractors toensure defects are properly recorded and rectified prior to each contractualmilestone (i.e. Provisional and Final Acceptance).
- Contract management activitiesrelating to the project agreements (e.g. landholder lease, EPC and O&Mcontracts, connection agreements, PPAs and loan facility agreements).
- Support the management ofongoing regulatory obligations for the operation of the Projects
- Verify contractor reports andparticipate in meetings with the O&M contractor and other stakeholdersinvolved in the Projects (AEMO, NSP, Offtaker, lenders, etc).
- Prepare reporting to externalstakeholders in accordance with relevant agreements and regulatory requirementsand assist with preparation of capital expenditure decision papers and boardmeeting reporting.
- Ensure Workplace Health &Safety and Environmental objectives are achieved with the support of the HSEManager.
- Ensure operations andmaintenance performance targets maintenance outcomes are achieved whilefostering a planned maintenance culture.
- Perform network analysis tounderstand system constraint impacts on projects under management and analysisof pricing trends and impacts.
- Participate with the rest ofthe Asset Management team in the implementation of the Mytilineos’ Global AssetManagement System, including input to core resources such as Asset Managementplans.
- Establishing work measurementprograms and analysing work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
- Analysing workforce utilization,facility layout, operational data and production schedules and costs, todetermine optimum worker and equipment efficiencies.
- Developing specifications formanufacture, and determining materials, equipment, piping, material flows,capacities and layout of plant construction and systems.
- Organizing and managing projectlabor and the delivery and of materials, plant and equipment.
- Establishing standards andpolicies for installation, modification, quality controls, testing, inspection,and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Carrying out inspections toensure optimum performance in maintenance.
- Directing the maintenance andcoordinating the requirements for new designs, survey, and maintenanceschedules.
About You
To be successful in this role, you willhave:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance,economics, engineering or a relevant business qualification
- Demonstrated interest inrenewable energy through work experience, projects, or coursework
- Demonstrable leadership skillsand ability to manage a team with multiple priorities and assess and adjustquickly to changing priorities
- Expertise in building andupdating financial models
- Proven analytical andmathematical capabilities
- Dependable, organized,detail-oriented, can work independently, and be a supportive team member
