Asset Management Interface

About the role

As an Asset Management Interface at V/Line, you’ll play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between project execution and effective Asset Management. Your objective is to ensure that our railway assets are not only safe but also optimised for maximum efficiency.  

Key accountabilities include:

·        Subject Matter Expert (SME):

-      Engage with multiple disciplines and become the go-to SME for Asset Management

-      Collaborate with appropriate experts to drive excellence in Asset Management practices.

·        Critical Interface Management:

-      Identify and manage critical Asset Management interfaces, interdependencies, and potential issues.

-      Safeguard V/Line’s ability to realise project benefits by ensuring seamless integration.

·        Obligations and Integration:

-      Communicate Asset Management obligations through discussions with SMEs.

-      Embed these requirements into operational and impact considerations during project planning.

·        Execution Support:

-      Ensure project teams understand Asset Management requirements during execution and delivery phases.

-      Provide essential support to project and delivery agents.

·        Benefits Realization:

-      Coordinate communication and review of realised benefits at project completion and handover.

-      Celebrate successful outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

·        Stakeholder Engagement:

-      Justify Asset Management requirements in stakeholder engagement sessions and workshops.

-      Foster collaboration and alignment across teams.

·        Risk Assessment and Documentation

-      Provide insightful commentary on identified impacts or risks.

-      Identify gaps that may impact project infrastructure integration.

·        Process Enhancement and Funding Coordination:

-      Assist in developing, integrating, and enhancing asset-related processes and procedures.

-      Collaborate with Asset Management and Finance to review OPEX funding models.

·        Operational Readiness and Training:

-      Identify gaps related to personnel training requirements.

-      Communicate these requirements to project teams for operational readiness.

·        RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety) Deliverables and Standards Compliance:

-      Support the development of maintenance requirements through interface with specialists.

-      Manage changes in Asset Information within correct timeframes.

-      Provide input to critical standards, procedures, and process reviews.

About you

We are looking for an experience individual who is passionate about ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between project teams and departments. The successful candidate will thrive on integrating Asset Management requirements into major railway projects.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

·      Experience in the rail industry (particularly in Asset Management and infrastructure is well regarded).

·      Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

·      Experience in quality assurance concepts and principles.

·      Proven experience in Asset Management, project coordination, or interface management.

·      Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.

Desirable:

·      Engineering tertiary qualification.

·      Experience in project management.

·      Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
