About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an Asset Manager to join an industry leader. This position involves leading a team and coordinating the efficient delivery of Asset Management services and support the strategic planning objectives.
To work with a high performing team that is responsible for the development of strategies, plans, processes, and audit programs for the collection of asset data and to support evidence-based decisions for improved asset performance and risk management.
The successful application will provide guidance to the team around service delivery, and planning to achieve company goals and to ultimately improve the organisations performance.
Duties
- Lead and support the Asset Management team and provide support to achieve goals.
- Compliance with Contract Obligations in regards to all Maintenance Planning Activities across the facilities.
- Ensuring compliance with the Asset Management Policy and Risk Management
- Support Asset Lifecyle Planning, including developing Operational and Capital expenditure forecasts.
- Develop forward works plans for end-of-life asset replacement and refurbishments, and to meet forecast increases in service demand.
- Assisting line Managers Implement maintenance planning and scheduling plans.
- Develop cost and time estimates of planned works for the General Manager.
- Monitor Service schedules to ensure timely completion adherence to contract requirements
- Life cycle cost/planning, Labour resource planning, material equipment planning
- Ensure all maintenance records are kept up to date, with an accurate service history.
- Develop and maintain an Asset or Service Record file for all items to track and forecast required maintenance /inspection activities using the Asset Management System
Skills and Experience
- Previous extensive experience in a leadership position
- Extensive experience in asset planning, management and reporting
- Prior experience in the following: asset maintenance, asset planning, life cycle cost/planning, Labour resource planning, material equipment planning
- Strong commitment to safety and striving for continuous improvement across the business
Required
- Diploma in Maintenance planning/Asset management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Previous experience within Rail, mining, transportation industry, maintenance sectors - Highly desirable
- Familiar with ISO:55000 or PAS 55
- Previous experience with Asset Management System e.g.: Maximo, SAP
- Understanding if Rail Safety regulations
- Strong commitment to safety
