Job description

  • Remuneration package of up to $176,000 per annum (inclusive of superannuation and applicable allowances) depending on qualifications and experience
  • 5-year fixed term appointment working with a proactive and dynamic Management and Executive Group.
  • Generous superannuation of 15.5% (conditions apply) and 7 years pro-rata Long Service Leave.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a manager to join our City Buildings and Asset Management team. If you are a proactive and results-driven individual with a passion for sustainable infrastructure planning and management, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding the City’s custodianship of its strategic assets and overseeing the management, maintenance, and renewal of all City-owned buildings, ensuring they are safe, functional, and properly maintained in accordance with the City’s Asset Management and Sustainability Strategy.

As the manager you key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance and Asset Management sustainability strategies.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to plan, execute and deliver projects within scope and budget.
  • Managing a team of staff and contractors.
  • Coordinating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes. 

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or related field and/or extensive experience in a similar leadership role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience in strategic Asset Management of Buildings and other assets.
  • Experience with budgeting and project management
  • A current National Police Clearance
  • A current WA Driver’s Licence
