The Role
Reporting to the Manager Asset Strategy & Performance (AS&P), the Asset Performance Insights Specialist is responsible for driving the analysis of service and Asset Performance Insights across the Service Delivery Lifecycle in order to drive effective and efficient asset management outcomes. In this role, you will also oversee the development of Melbourne Water's performance dashboard library.
This will be achieved through:
- Driving the development and implementation of meaningful metrics and data/ information capture, including the development of benchmarking and scoring mechanisms, relating to asset lifecycle decision-making, including risk management, system performance, investment program development and governance activities.
- Routinely engaging with internal business stakeholders to better define/affirm the data aspects requiring report development,
- Sustaining the currency and accuracy of reports and dashboards accessed by business users, including overseeing the development and management of a library of performance reports and data visualisations, including scorecards and dashboards.
- Leading the development and communication of insights derived from the performance reports and dashboards.
- Staying abreast of current/modern report creation and information sharing techniques.
- Demonstrated competency in developing metrics and analysing performance to identify and communicate insights
- Significant experience applying best practice UX (user-experience) principles for development of electronic reports and dashboards
- Extensive knowledge and experience with data analysis, reporting and Power BI visualisation tools
- Well-developed analytical, written, facilitation and communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and effectively influence others
- Knowledge of asset management systems and core asset management processes
