The opportunity
Our Finance team are excited to be seeking a project accounting specialist with a background in financial services or superannuation to join them in the role of Finance Specialist - Projects and Insights . Acting as a key conduit between Finance and Project stakeholders, you will take responsibility for providing project finance support, reporting & Insights, and financial modeling in order to inform decisions and ensure an enterprise, portfolio and project view of project costs and benefits is realised and maintained. While you will report directly to the Senior Manager - Finance Enablement, your role will see you maintain a close working relationship with the General Manager - Projects and Transformation as well as with project managers, business sponsors, other business units and external stakeholders.
About you
You'll have significant experience in project accounting in financial services, superannuation or funds management and display a deep and authoritative knowledge of this area. This is a critical role within our organisation so naturally your functional expertise is ably supported by outstanding communication and relationship building skills and an ability to provide accurate, professional and credible advice to a wide variety of stakeholders. What's most important though is the positive, creative and collaborative energy you bring to work each day. We're eager for the right person to join our team so if this all sounds like you, don't delay in submitting your application!
What's in it for you?
HESTA is a highly collaborative and values-driven organisation so you will join a growing industry fund that has a welcoming and supportive culture and outstanding conditions, including an enviable work/life balance. This is your chance to gain career-building experience and exposure to an expanding industry.
Your leave and time off matters: up to six days paid volunteer leave, up to an additional five days of leave over the end of year and new year period, access your long service leave after three years! Take annual leave at half pay and purchase up to two weeks additional leave
Your professional development matters: up to $5K per year professional development budget and up to eight days professional development leave, HESTA scholarships and free access to a range of premium learning tools
Your health and wellbeing matters: free annual flu shots and skin checks, incredible social events throughout the year and a comprehensive employee assistance program available 24/7
Your financial wellbeing matters: 15% super, financial planning support, end of year payment for all Enterprise Agreement-covered employees, incentivised Employee Referral Program and novated lease options
HESTA is a great place to work but don't take our word for it, we were named (again!) an Employer of Choice in 2022.
We celebrate, value and include people of all backgrounds, genders, identities, cultures and abilities.
We welcome and support applications from First Nations people, physically, neuro or culturally diverse, LGBTQI+, and people of any age.
Please note: Applications via recruitment agencies will not be accepted for this position.
