As we continue to expand our presence, we are seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team.

The Role
As an Assistant Accountant at Café del Mar, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department in various accounting tasks. You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and other team members to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and records. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing Accounts Payable
- Reconciling bank and credit card ledgers
- Reconciling month-end GL accounts
- Processing fortnightly payroll
- Updating fortnightly venue report
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close procedures
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Assisting in preparing financial reports and analysis as required
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Your Background
We are looking for a hands-on and enthusiastic Finance professional to join Café del Mar Group corporate team.
- At least 2 years of accounting experience from a commercial business or accounting firm
- Related tertiary qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience
- Broad understanding of financial and operational aspects of the Hospitality industry will be highly regarded
- Hold permanent working rights (Permanent residency or Australian Citizenship)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
