ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Due to a secondment within the team, our Client; a Local Council based South of Sydney CBD, is seeking for an Assistant Accountant to assist with the financial reporting processes for Council.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
An initial part-time 3-month contract starting ASAP. Reporting to the Coordinator Financial Management, you will be working within a highly supportive and collaborative team of 6 + the AP Team. There will be opportunities for you to transition into a full-time arrangement as we near the EOFY.
DUTIES.
* Support the team in financial reporting processes
* Reconciliations - long service leave, balance sheets, etc.
* Prepayments
* Journal processing
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
* Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Finance
* Working towards or intending on completing your CPA/CA
* Outstanding work ethic and drive to progress into a Financial Accountant
* Graduates with outstanding communication skills are encouraged to apply

Due to the nature of the contract, you will be expected to attend the office full-time. Your excellent communication skills and your willingness to learn will play a critical part in the success of your role.
