We are working closely with our Western Sydney (Bella Vista, Castle Hill, Norwest) based client; a leading manufacturing company to find a motivated and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant staff who is capable of handling all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as other accounts related tasks. Duties & Responsibilities
- All aspects of accounts related tasks (including support for other members in the accounts team)
- All aspects of Accounts Payable functions, including invoice and purchase order checking, processing of payments and relevant data entry
- All aspects of Accounts Receivable functions, including banking, generating invoices, debt collection, data entry and posting receipts to the correct invoices.
- Staff expense claim payment – checking claims against receipts and expense policy, obtaining approvals from management and arrange payment monthly.
- Reconciliation of payments for all bank accounts on a daily basis including
reconciliation of Company Credit Cards and cash. - Be the first point of contact for creditors chasing payment of invoices
- Update and maintain the Company’s system in a timely manner.
- Attend annual audit, including preparation of required information.
- Assist with general office administration, reception, filing, word processing, data entry and secretarial support duties as required.
- Assisting other accounts staff and office team while they are on leave.
Requirement
- Tertiary Qualification in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or all-rounder Accounts role
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including use of Microsoft Office suite and accounting software
- Good communication skills, attention to details, organization skills
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment, flexibility to take on various duties depending on company’s requirement.
