About The Role of Assistant Accountant
We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. As an Assistant Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in effectively and efficiently supporting Navarra's finance team. The scope includes preparing financial statements, finalizing end-of-month and end-of-year accounts, and other administrative duties as required by management.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily bank reconciliationsMonth-end accounting including reconciliations and processing of accruals, prepayments, and subsequent journals.Accounts Payable.Maintaining up-to-date accounts receivable files and records.Resolving any account and/or invoice queries from clients and suppliersProviding regular updates, reviews, and ad hoc reports to management.Assisting in preparation of monthly management reportsMaintaining Fixed Assets RegisterAssisting with the preparation of budgeting and forecasting reportsAssisting in the implementation of new systemsAssist in preparation of FBT, GST, and BAS return for the Manager to review before submission.Perform billing, collection, and reporting activities in accordance with Company requirements.Preparation of procedure manualsOpportune Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Commerce, or equivalent2+ years previous experience in similar positions within a professional office environment, or equivalent.Experience dealing with confidential and organisational information.Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and databases.Experience HospitalityHigh degree of confidentiality.Strong ability to transfer information, skills and knowledge to other staff members.Good financial and commercial acumen.#WerkPerks by Navarra
