We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team on a Full Time basis for initial 12 month FTC. Working closely with the Senior Accountant and wider Finance team, responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
- Managing financial transactions including Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Timely and accurate completion of bank reconciliations
- Processing of accruals, prepayment and general journals
- Preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
- Preparing the BAS/GST for Australia and providing support for BAS preparation in New Zealand
- Assisting with the preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc accounting duties
About You:
- 1-3 years experience in a similar role
- Exposure to Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Qualifications in Business or Accounting preferred
- Understanding of the Aged Care Sector highly advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a passionate and open mind set
- Enthusiasm to explore different Accounting functions and best practice
- Knowledge of statutory legislation, regulation and accounting principles
- Working towards CPA beneficial
