Assistant Accountant

The company:Join a dynamic multinational company! We are on the lookout for an experienced Assistant Accountant with a solid background in large corporations. Work for a renowned multinational company who can offer year-on-year growth opportunities, comprehensive training and development provided. This is a 12-month Fix Term Contract. The role:· Understanding of Fixed Asset accounting standards, tax rules, and company policies.· Timely and accurate execution of Fixed Asset management, reconciliation, and reporting.· Indirect tax functions, including GST setups and BAS return preparation.· Contribution to direct tax functions, specifically in the preparation of income tax returns.· Month-end closing and reporting.· Analysis of Profit and Loss Statements for accrual calculation.· Ensure integrity of the general ledger, preparing journal entries.· Research, interpret, and apply accounting standards in day-to-day operations.· Provide commentaries on variances between actual, forecast, and rolling budget. Your profile:· Over 2 years of experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role.· Holds tertiary qualifications in Accounting.· Proficient in MS Excel.· Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
