We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Sydney Head Office. This role will support the finance team by completing day to day financial transactions to month end reporting.

About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, your responsibility will include (but are not limited to):
- Recording financial transactions accurately for all entities within the group operations.
- Managing Accounts Payables – batch payments and supplier run
- Managing staff reimbursement.
- Assisting with month-end process including bank reconciliation, prepayment, accrual, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Assisting with budgeting for operational expenses across the group entities
- Provide support for product costing recording and analysing process.
- Supporting operational cost review, identify areas of improvement.
- Participate in continuous establishing and maintaining internal control for business process improvement.
- Provide support to finance team related to all accounting and administrative tasks.
- Liaising with stakeholders and other employees - strong communication skills are a must.
About you:
- Bachelor Degree of Accounting qualification
- Are self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team.
- Have strong communication and analytical skills.
- Are experienced in working across multiple entities.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office programs primarily Excel, Word & Outlook and have experience with using accounting platforms or ERP systems.
- Have good verbal and written communication skills and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise with high level organisation skills and a deadline focus.
- Take pride in working with a high level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with Sage X3 is advantage.
- Experience in an accounting role within the wine or an agriculturally based or food/beverage production-based business would be advantageous.
