This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join a well-known business in the heart of Sydney's CBD.
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:
• Managing the end-to-end accounts payable process for domestic and overseas suppliers
• Management of supplier relationships, performing statement reconciliations and effective dispute resolution
• Purchase order management and reporting of GRNI accrued expenses
• Sourcing funds and managing foreign petty cash
• Analysis and reporting of creditor days to assist with cashflow projections
• Liasing with Insurance, Utility and Telecommunication organisations in analysing spend and resolving matters of enquiry
• Reviewing departmental operating spend for the purpose of accruals and compliance to the company’s Delegations of Authority matrix
• Assisting with the annual company audit and providing assurance as to the accuracy of information to meet statutory compliance
• Involvement in project work and scoping of new system implementations
Applicants should possess the following:
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree preferred or at least 5 years of relevant experience
• 2+ years general accounting experience
• Strong computer skills, with competency in Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel
• Excellent time management skills
• Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
• Strong numerical skills with high attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Enthusiasm with a positive and collaborative attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with both internal and external business partners
FULL TIME - 5 DAYS IN OFFICE - SALARY RANGE BASE $70,000-$80,000 + SUPER
