About the Role:
You will be a critical member of a small finance team, with your primary responsibility being the smooth management of the day-to-day transactions of the business as well as undertaking accounting activities.
You will work with the senior finance team including with the CFO.
Responsibilities:
Your primary role will be the management of Accounts Payable, Receivable, Bank Reconciliations and preparation of BAS Returns, whilst also being responsible for the preparation and completion of monthly accounts for smaller entities in the group. This includes:
Daily Responsibilities
This role is critical to the smooth running of the day-to-day financial operations of Precinct Capital.
- Take ownership of the full-function Accounts Payable as well as Receivable processes, including allocation of invoices and raising payments
- Verify accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests
- Work with internal teams to ensure accuracy of invoices
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Prepare and process weekly and ad-hoc payment runs
- Day-to-day bank reconciliations
- Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
- Monitor and process credit cards expenses and prepare monthly reconciliations
- Use of ERP system to manage payments, receipts and banking
- Assist with month-end closing activities and other requirements as needed
- Some office administration duties
Accounting Responsibilities
- BAS return preparation
- Assist with month-end general ledger reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet for property investment entities
- Assist with month-end closing activities and other requirements as needed
- Assist the finance team with FBT and Tax return preparation
- Other duties as reasonably required
About You:
- Experience with ERP systems such as Cheops, Jobpac or Procore will be highly regarded
- Experience with Microsoft suite (Excel & Word)
- Proven experience working in AP and AR related roles
- Exposure to month end processes and preparation of management reports
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, time management, computing and delivery skills
- Attention to detail
- Proactive and able to work efficiently to meet crucial deadlines
- Prior experience in property development or construction
