Role Summary
The Assistant Accountant is responsible for ensuring that the financial transactions, processes and policies of the organisation are represented accurately, and lead to credible and timely financial management reports. The position also oversees general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory tax compliance, asset management and the preparation of profit and loss reporting. Our Assistant Accountant also provides valuable support to the broader organisation by ensuring that we are compliant with all relevant financial legislations and funding requirements, as well as compliant with internal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Producing accurate, insightful and valuable management reports on a monthly and annual basis.
- Managing and ensuring the integrity of the general ledger.
- Ensuring that tax compliance reporting is timely and accurate.
- Overseeing internal and external compliance.
- Overseeing asset management for all business units.
This role is being hired on a permanent full time basis and is located at our central office in Kewdale.

Key Criteria Includes:
- CA/CPA qualified or actively working towards one of these qualifications.
- Experience gained within the health care sectors, particularly the NDIS or aged care, will be highly regarded but is not essential.
- Previous experience or familiarity working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication, time organisation and problem solving skills.
