The Opportunity:
Our Company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Officer/Accounts Assistant to join our team in our Cottesloe Office.
Duties:
- Responsible for timely and accurate processing of fortnightly payroll, including all employee reporting
- Working closely with the Finance Manager to support the delivery of accurate financial activities
- Creating and updated employee profiles in MYOB
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and accounting standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Ensure all records are kept in a manner that can be easily retrieved, reviewed and made available to senior management and relevant agencies
- Bank Reconciliation
- Continuously strive for process improvements in the payroll function
- Credit Card Reconciliation
- Relief Accounts Payable
- General accounting duties as directed by Finance Manager
- Answering phones when administration staff are busy or unavailable
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 3+ Years experience processing payroll from end to end
- MYOB experience
- Work autonomously and have the ability to prioritise work schedule
- Have ability to perform multi-tasking in dynamic environment maintaining attention to detail
- Strong clear communicator who is comfortable dealing with customers, suppliers, employees & senior management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly Proficient in Excel
- Committed, dependable and have effective communication, customer service and social skills
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a small productive team
- Flexible outlook and able to multitask with changing priorities
- Be highly organised and task oriented with a strong work ethic
