About the role:
As an Assistant Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Centre Manager the successful applicant will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the EYLF and NQS and have experience leading within an Early Learning setting. They will be supported to continue to develop core leadership skills and capabilities that will enhance their ability to lead teams and oversee the day-to-day running of an Early Learning service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, implementing and evaluating programs through your strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS);
- Leading a team of educators ensuring the highest quality of care is provided for our children across all our rooms;
- Engaging with children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups and stages of development;
- Motivating and supporting a team of educators to meet our quality principles of curriculum and documentation;
- Building and maintaining a team-oriented approach by being open to different views, receptive to feedback and reflective upon best practice;
- Bringing a friendly, mature and professional approach to everything you do;
- Ensuring the centre provides a safe and welcoming space that children, educators and parents want to be in;
- Supporting the Centre Manager in completing necessary administration tasks relating to centre operations and compliance;
- Running the service in the absence of the Centre Manager including bookings, rostering, parent communication and other relevant duties.

About you:
We're looking for a skilled leader with a proven ability to build, lead, and foster a positive team culture. If you demonstrate outstanding relationship-building and communication skills, coupled with creativity, initiative, and problem-solving abilities, you're the person we're looking for. Your passion and creativity for outstanding childcare will inspire our team, and we value individuals who align with our core values.
You will also require to have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in leading a Room Lead or other Leadership role within a service in a childcare setting
- ACECQA approved Diploma qualification
- Creativity and a proven ability to lead and motivate a team of educators
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach
- Excellent communication skills
- An ability to develop strong relationships with children and families
- Full work rights in Australia
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR, and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain them
- Current Child Protection Training or willingness to undertake the course
