Our client is a boutique commercial property developer who are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Development Manager to join their innovative and high performing team in Sydney.
Ideally the candidate will have had exposure to planning management, budgeting and forecasting, leasing, ability to understand and input to development feasibility and development management models.
Having experience on a large-scale commercial / laboratory / research facility type projects is highly beneficial.
Our client would also be expecting to be training you as the project progresses. There will be REIT type of reporting requirements and processes so having some background of working in a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) or working for a Developer on commercial projects would be ideal.
Sample duties include but not limited to:
- Attending meetings with Development Manager
- Planning management
- Ownership of all invoicing and administration tasks
- Control the project cash flow, budgeting, month end reporting
- Input to front end development feasibility and development management
- Attending and taking minutes in all design meetings, leasing meetings, consultant meetings etc
- Assist in engagement and management of consultants
- Manage project design documentation
- Assist in management of project construction delivery
- Ability to review and mark up drawings to provide clear feedback and direction to consultants
- Visit site when required
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering / Property Development / Project Management or Construction is ideal
- 2-3+ years in the industry
- Interpretation of Technical documents
- Understanding design, development, and delivery process of Commercial / Laboratory projects
- Previous project delivery experience ideal
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to take initiative and work self-directed to achieve results
- Ability to identify and solve problems if/when they arise
- Superior knowledge of MS Office Suite, Word, Excel etc.
