They have acquired and delivered a multitude of high-quality projects and committed to further growth with an appetite to deliver two development sites comprising of 900 lots and the other nearby is 200 lots and as such, an opportunity has been presented to join the team as an Assistant Development Manager.
You will be working with an experienced team of investors, in a tight-knit dynamic environment, getting hands on exposure executing the full process from approvals, design and into the delivery stages, working closely with the senior leadership team.
Position Overview:
You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring successful execution from conception to completion. This role requires a candidate with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of civil engineering and land development processes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk analysis.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
- Oversee the civil engineering aspects of land development projects, including grading, infrastructure design, and utility installations.
- Coordinate with external consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance with local regulations and project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Manage the subdivision process, including planning, zoning, and permitting.
- Work closely with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and ensure compliance with land development regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant agencies and stakeholders
- Monitor project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.
- Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
- 5 years experience in Civil Engineering and / or Development and at least 3 years as a Assistant Development Manager
- Demonstrated success in delivering residential greenfield and broad-acre subdivisions within Melbourne or Regional Victoria
- Tertiary qualifications in Property, Finance, Planning, Engineering or any other related field
- Strong financial acumen, well-versed in the use of Estate Master and project cashflows
- Enthusiastic team player who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty across the full project lifecycle
